Hi friends, here's a little update. I find myself more on Twitter and Facebook than on my own site, so if you want to see me bs-ing about; look me up there. I had to keep my mouth shut about it for a while, but now it's there: Our friend Solomon Burke and De Dijk are about to release our joint album on Universal. It's a knock out of course! We will play some dates, so please keep an eye on either www.dedijk.nl or www.thekingsolomonburke.com. Besides the regular ton of touring I do, I have been involved in a string of interesting productions recently and there's a lot more coming up. I have been working with Jelle Cleymans, Dusty Stray, Arthur Ebeling, The Girls, Powderblue, Theo Nijland, Sonja van Hamel, avant la lettre, Saeolors, Kane, Feed The Rabbit, Secret Umbrella, Mattanja Joy Bradley, Fay Lovsky, Guido Belcanto, Hanggai, Marc Ribot and a bunch more over the past few months and am currently in preproduction for an album with The Souldiers and a very special project with Italian guitarist Alberto Mesrica. This will probably will keep me busy for the best part of 2010 before 2011 kicks off with a special trip to record an album with two friends I hold in high esteem. Peace! JB |
