L.S.! After the shock and all that came with Solomon's passing, I had to leave for Memphis TN to record a record that I already rank among the best I've worked on. The Souldiers: two sisters, a brother and two damn fine musicians. Add Dave Smith (probably the world's finest bassplayer), Ardent studios and a night on Beale Street and leave that simmer for a coupla weeks. More on that soon! I've also produced a Christmas album for Basta Records and while at it, I tried a go at writing a season song to. Judge for yourself at Basta's website. Also, I'm working on avant la lettre's debut album. A really good band from Amsterdam. In january I will leave for Curacao, Trinidad, Guyana and Surinam to start working on a project with friends Ken Stringfellow and Trevor Morais. I will put up the dates for the live shows we're going to do in between working on tracks. Okay, increase the peace y'all! |
